Despite popular belief, unless one is willing to drill new mounting holes, there is no one-size-fits-all Ibanez(tm) RG style pickguard.  We are set up to make the three most common patterns.

Generally speaking, Patterns one and two are typically found on Japanese models (there is very little difference between the two).  Pattern three is typically reserved for the lower-end Korean and Indonesian models.  Please be aware that this is only a generalization and there can often be exceptions.  

Above you will find thumbnails that link to printable templates of these patterns.  These templates have all the critical features on them to verify that the pattern/general control placement will fit your guitar.  If you do not mind performing simple modifications (ie- drilling new, non-invasive pickguard mounting holes), it will not be as important to check the template.  If you do not have the resources available  to perform simple modifications or have a collectible guitar that can not be modified it is absolutely critical that you take the time to check these templates to your guitar to verify the correct fit.  

What if you do not have a printer to check the template?

Don't have a printer to check the template?  For a nominal fee, we can precision cut a cardboard template for you to check the fit before committing to a custom pickguard.  Please choose all of your options on the build menu and select "cardboard template" for material type.  We will send you a cardboard template of the available pattern/pickup/control configurations that you have chosen from the menu.

IMPORTANT-  Custom requests that are not on the order form must be approved before ordering.  If you have a custom request, please use the contact form above to contact us about feasibility/additional cost for non-standard configurations.  Custom requests made on order notes that have not been approved may not be processed (you will only receive what was chosen on the order form).
